Dhyan Perera

Dhyan has  over 25 years of experience in the construction and house building sectors, including 10 years with Swedish eco-house builder Trivselhus - he has been immersed in the Swedish ways of working and the Scandinavian drive for quality and excellence. Recently he planned, developed and built seven ‘A’ rated eco-homes at Darklass, in the north of Scotland. All sold from plan.

Dhyan also brings a wealth of technical expertise and a deep understanding of sustainability and energy efficiency within the housing sector, but more recently has been successfully leading on sales and marketing. 

At Hallbar Homes Dhyan works closely with national sales agents to bring projects to the market. He builds relationships with each and every home buyer and ensures that the buying journey customers encounter is pleasurable. He takes all new home buyers from initial contact right through to the very final handover. Relationships matter.

Tom Macartney

Tom has worked at the highest levels within the property & housing sectors of the UK. He is a former Chief Executive of Sunderland URC and MD of a large regeneration programme in the Midlands of England. In the early part of his career he was credited with regenerating the Gorbals of Glasgow.

Recently Tom was the Development Director of the Swedish eco-house builder Trivselhus UK and for over eight years has been at the forefront of building sustainable and energy efficient homes - all based on Swedish methodologies & traditions. Tom is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors; and an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland. He is also an Academician of the Academy of Urbanism.

Colin Rae

Colin has over 35 years of experience working in the housing and property development sectors - from Chartered Quantity Surveying through to senior Development Management.

Colin was the Group Development Director for Places for People - one of the largest housing providers in the UK and in that role had main Board responsibility for managing all development projects within the Group. He led Places for People in their drive for zero carbon and their development of off-site construction, as well as ensuring that placemaking was central to all projects.

In addition to Hallbar Homes, Colin is a Non-Executive Director and a strategic advisor to several housing businesses.

Colin is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, an Academician of The Academy of Urbanism and Member of the Chartered Institute of Housing.
